I’ve been told it’ll get better
I’ve been told that I shouldn’t cut because it’s not an excuse
I’m tired of being told that I need to do something
I’m tired of being told that I need to be happy for your satisfaction
I’m tired in general
Being that example of a sad life
That unexplained version of an attention seeker
I don’t want a whole bunch of attention
I just want some acceptance
Not from you or her or them but, from me
And yet I still can’t seem to do that
I’m tired of waiting…
